Transgender Day of Remembrance is the day each year that we come together to remember those who we have lost. To remember those who have come before us and paved the way for our current fight for survival. Today we remember!
We hold those lost in our hearts and we choose to carry them with us in our journey towards the future we wish to see.
Join us, Trans liberation on Kombumerri Land, The Lavender Corner and Gold Coast Pride Collective coming together in solidarity to hold a vigil and transgender education session at the Southport Uniting Church at 23 Short Street, Southport.
All trans and gender diverse people, allies and families are welcome; this is also an all-ages event beginning at 5:30 pm
Please remember this is a day of mourning, so respect is expected

The vigil and gathering for TDoR is happening this Thursday 20th November. This gathering has come together through the efforts of community members. We extend our gratitude to everyone who has helped make this moment of remembrance possible. We have several safe venue options; confirmation will be Tuesday.
This will be a gentle and supportive space.
Anyone who wishes to share a memory, reflection, or message of solidarity is welcome to speak. You are also welcome to sit in silence or simply be present with community.

The Story Bridge in Meanjin/Brisbane will be lit up in Trans Colours to commemorate those that we have lost within our Trans communities worldwide through violence and suicide.
We'll have having a short ceremony overlooking the bridge to remember those lost within our communities worldwide.
