Background: Queensland AIDS Council (QuAC) is Queensland's leading LGBTI health promotion organisation. QuAC envisions a Queensland where all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people achieve the best possible health and well-being and participate fully in the life of communities, free from stigma and discrimination.
QuAC & Many Genders One Voice would like to invite expressions of interest from Trans & Gender Diverse community representatives, organisations and groups that would like to join the QuAC Trans and Gender Diverse Community Health Advisory Group.
Purpose of the Advisory Group To provide strategic advice on the development of Queensland AIDS Council's Trans and Gender Diverse Community Health programs and also to provide guidance, understanding and recommendations to improve access to health services for Trans and Gender Diverse people across Queensland.
Recommendations will be made for broader health system reform along with the actions required to strengthen inclusion of Trans & Gender Diverse people within QuAC programs and services.
Meeting Frequency will begin in August and will be held every 2 months for a period of approximately 12 months.
The meetings will be held in QuAC Office, 30 Helen Street, Teneriffe at a time and day agreed to by the Advisory Group. Members in regional areas will be able to telephone and video conference to the meetings.

Demonstrated understanding of the lived experience of health and wellbeing issues impacting trans and gender diverse communities.
Demonstrated connection to trans and gender diverse communities and/or community groups or organisations.
Availability to commit to regular advisory group meetings.
Skills or experience you have that will benefit the Advisory Group
We are expecting a large number of expressions of interest from across Queensland and have a limited number of spots on the Advisory Group available. With this in mind, all applicants that aren't a part of the Advisory Panel will have other opportunities to contribute in different ways including through consultation processes, community forums and information sharing.
